Sommelier Jane Lopes has a new book out on 100 wines to expand on your “wine journey,” and you can participate in the wine fun too with a night of a 4 course dinner served with a paired wine flight. Tickets are $140, and include dinner, wine, and a signed copy of Lopes’s book.

2. Boulder Hiker Chicks at Go Far Shop

Boulder Hiker Chicks started as a way to bring women in the community together, for free, through hiking. Now, nearly 5 years later, founders Kari Armstrong and Alli Fronzaglia host over 40 hikes a year with over 500 women participating. This event will include snacks and drinks and the opportunity to chat with the founders to see what is in store for the next season of Boulder Hiker Chicks.

3. The Art of Scenes at Boulder Writing Studio

Scenes are important as the building blocks of stories, but they often get left behind in favor of character building or dialogue. Come workshop at Boulder Writing Studio to break down scenes from exciting literature, write your own, and share with the group. All levels of experience, long and short form, are welcome.

Come sing your best karaoke at Bohemian Biergarten this Wednesday (and every Wednesday!) with DJ Dick Black. Karaoke Night also includes drink specials including $2 off all wine by the glass.

5. Ramen Fresh Pasta Workshop at Food Lab

Food Lab’s dish this week is ramen with fresh pasta. Learn the basics of the elusive pasta as well as the broth it comes in. This class will include Pork Belly Chashu, Tonkotsu Broth, Shoyu Broth, and Ramen Noodles.

 

Kaylee was raised (but not *technically* born) in Colorado. She graduated from Regis University with a bachelor of arts in English. During her time at Regis she worked as a teaching assistant in a freshman classroom setting and in the writing center helping students on a variety of topics. While there, she discovered Cura Personalis, or care for the entire person, leading to her love of feminism and desire for equal rights for all. Kaylee is the managing editor for AboutBoulder, OnDenver, and a key member of the OnMetro team, launching this platform in cities across the United States.
