Over the past decade, the WILD Council has been actively involved in addressing the underrepresentation of female leaders in our community. It all began with a group of determined women who joined forces to combat this issue, originating from the Leed’s School of Business at The University of Colorado, Boulder. Since then, the council’s impact has extended beyond the confines of the university and reached the broader Front Range Community.
The WILD Council is guided by a set of core values that shape its mission and activities:
- Leadership: The council strives to be leaders of positive change for women in both the business world and the community.
- Connection: Meaningful connections are fostered through mentoring, community engagement, and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Access: The council serves as a valuable resource for its members and the community, offering opportunities to learn, grow, inspire, and be inspired.
- Inclusivity: Embracing diversity in all aspects, the council actively promotes inclusivity in its outreach and membership.
The council’s dedication stems from a deep passion for encouraging and motivating more women to pursue leadership and decision-making roles. Numerous studies have indicated that companies with women in leadership positions experience increased innovation and improved financial performance. The WILD Council believes that empowering women is not just about fairness, but also about making the world a better place.
If our mission resonates with you, we hope you feel inspired to learn more about the WILD Council and consider getting involved.
