Get Down with Live Music Outdoors
With spring slowly kicking in, it’s all about live music outdoors in Boulder this weekend. One of our most beloved breweries in town will be hosting a music festival in celebration of both spring and American Craft Beer Week. Upslope Brewing’s 2nd Annual Upslope Getdown will go down on Saturday in Flatiron Park from 1:00 pm -11:00 pm. The FREE event will include various food trucks, enough beer to fill you up for days, and two stages of continuous music all day long. Eight bands will perform, with the headliner being Taylor Frederick’s Funk Circus featuring members of Yamn, The Motet and Jaden Carlson Band.
Red Rocks this weekend will be taken over by the bumping sounds of electronic bass. On Friday, the 4th ever Global Dub Festival will take place, bringing the biggest bass music event back to Colorado’s favorite venue. Performing artists include Excision, Zomboy, Yellow Claw, Ookay and Must Die.
On Saturday night at Red Rocks, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and Live Nation will present Tipper. The psychedelic visual feast will be assisted by an electromineralist and a live visual mixologist. The audio will feature the world class Funktion One sound system for the first time at this venue. Visionary artists Alex and Allyson Grey will be joined by other painters from the visionary art movement for a live painting going on all night on in the Upper Level Plaza. Tipper’s well planned event highlights his dedication to providing an experience for all the senses to indulge in.
