Bohemian Biergarten has traditional Czech brews as well as plenty of Eastern European food to gorge yourself on, including pierogi, sausage platter, pretzels, and meat platters. Communal seating lets you bond with your fellow beer drinkers, but if you’re looking to avoid the college crown, make sure to get there before 11.

2. Next Door American Eatery

Believe it or not, the kale chips in Next Door’s happy hour food specials is what sells out the most quickly every night, so don’t skip over these (even if you’re just looking for a $4 beer!). The bar always has games going for the locals, so be sure to stop in the next time you’re in town.

3. Tahona Tequila Bistro

Tacos and tequila: your Friday night could not get any better. Tahona has over 100 different tequilas to choose from, and they have a live DJ and dancing every Friday and Saturday night after 10. With St. Patrick’s day coming up, this is definitely the bar to stop at for a strong drink.

4. Japango

This is the place to come if you want sushi, wine, beer, sake, apps and more for an affordable price. There are plenty of TVs and a chill atmosphere to hang out and enjoy your drink. If you want to start your happy hour early, their lunch specials are even better than their evening specials, with $10 bento boxes and $5 house wines.

5. Eureka!

Eureka! on Pearl Street is always crowded, and it’s likely because of their stellar happy hour and great small plates, including falafel, mac & cheese balls, and lightly fried cauliflower. If you can’t decide what you’d like, be sure to try a craft beer flight to get a taste of Colorado brews.

6. River and Woods

 

Tuesday – Friday from 4- 6pm

River and Woods has a homey feel, as it’s in a renovated cabin and even has a backyard patio you can drink in (dogs allowed!). If you have a larger party, be sure to make a reservation as it fills up quickly–especially around dinner time.

7. West Flanders Brewing Company

 

Monday – Friday from 3 pm – 6 pm

Food: $3-8 Small Plates | Drinks: $4 House Beer, $4 House Wines, $5 Specialty

West Flander makes beers on site, so there’s no reason not to get their flight of house brews, including Dobbel, Daisy, Udder, and Funk. The patio seating at the brewery also offers the ideal people watching spot in Boulder.

8. The Tune Up at Full Cycle

Students: Happy Hour All Day | $2 off all drinks | New food at the Tune Up: Now serving burgers, pizza, and brats!

Bike shop, coffee, and booze. Only in Boulder. While you’re getting your bike tuned up, you can chill with a cheap drink. Even if you’re not looking to get a bike fixed, there are plenty of community events such as the open mic every Saturday.

The Boulder location of T/ACO has authentic Mexican street tacos, fresh lime margaritas, hand pressed corn tortillas, and a dog friendly outdoor patio. There’s often a line at night, so be sure to show up early if you want space to sit down to enjoy your margarita.
