Boulder Fringe Festival-Katharine Hawthorne

Katharine Hawthorne’s performance, Between the Wish and the Thing appeared at the Boulder Fringe Festival this year. The performance was a dive into the unknown, exploring passing time and the past, present and future. Her piece appeared at the Boulder Fringe Festival in Kelly’s Barn in collaboration with Elizabeth Chitty and John Chandler Hawthorne. The dancers broke the fourth wall and engaged the audience with interaction. Art News: Boulder City Council Launches the Community Culture Plan

As of January 1st of this year, Boulder City Council launched its Community Culture Plan through the City of Boulder Office of Arts + Culture. Their vision: “Together, we will craft Boulder’s social, physical, and cultural environment to include creativity as an essential ingredient for the well being, prosperity, and joy of everyone in the community.” You can read the plan details, in full, here. Boulder Nightlife this Weekend January 21-24

For a lesson in etiquette and kicking zombie ass, Chem 140 is having an advanced screening of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies this Thursday at 7:00 pm. This is part of their Council Film Series. Admission is free and so is the popcorn. From 7:30-8:00 pm on Thursday, Boulder Book store is having Gayl Gray’s “Artscape Boulder, CO” talk and book signing.
