  Rocky Mountain Goat Hanging Loose While Watching Its Visitors. The Visitors Are Behind The Bars   Boulder is virtually surrounded by Rocky Mountain Goats. From the quite nearby Denver Zoo to the top of Mt. Evans, we are surrounded by these glorious proud beasts of the mountains. Mt. Sanitas has always been one of my favorite hiking areas. I grew up near the Goat Trail, which is an alternative path that some people use to access Sanitas, but I decided to use the more widely-used trailhead on Mapleton Avenue when I went to visit last week.
