Trevor Noah to Host Virtual Event for CU Boulder Students

Late night host and New York Times bestseller Trevor Noah will be hosting a virtual event for CU Buffs tomorrow, August 22, via Zoom, at 8 pm. “We are really excited to collaborate with this year’s Fall Welcome Committee in virtually hosting Trevor Noah. He will no doubt be an engaging and thoughtful speaker, pairing his classic wit and unique background to create conversation on campus,” said DSB Chair Ally Roberts and CEB Chair Anuja Gore. Zoom Bombing Affecting CU Students

Zoom has taken off in popularity with students and workers working from home, and for good reason. The program is easy to use, and only requires that you open the link that is sent to you. You will automatically be added to the Zoom chat room, no login or logistics required. Unfortunately, ease of access also means ease for hackers to take over. CU Buffs Rick George Updates Fans

Collegiate athletics have been canceled for the remainder of the spring, but CU Buffs athletic director Rick George emailed fans to thank them for being loyal and provide an update on the student athletes. George reiterated that all athletic events, including awards ceremonies, have been canceled until further notice. It is unclear at this time if this will remain the same if school reopens for the semester. The deadline to renew football season tickets has been extended to May 6, and the ticket office team will be working remotely and filling orders online.
