Dogs Are Quite Clear That All The Time Is The Right Time To Go For A Walk!

Every Boulder day is a dog day. Don’t believe me? Ask any dog. Time to get fed. Fido and friends don’t much care if it’s Thursday. They do however care that it is always time to eat. Or walk. Or eat.

While most of us cannot work in the same place as their pets call home, some are lucky and can get the best of both worlds. How soon should a dog be walked? How often? Just ask Fido! “As soon as I got back from the last walk!” While having a dog while living in the dorms can be a challenge, I did manage to have a dog for a semester at Ohio University. Grendle went up and down the stair well in my backpack, and never said a word.

Even when  puppy lives in a dorm, and must, since she was forbidden, going by backpack up and down the stairs. To the 7th floor, they still think that being taken out hourly for a fifty minute walk is mandatory, year ’round.

Since dogs always want to walk, and always want to run when they are not walking, let’s get to the point of this blog. Our dogs are trying to tell us something! They are say, quite clearly, “watch Rambo for aerobics when you get home!” “Walk and run me now.” You thought they were saying that for themselves? Not! They are saying it for us! When they pull on the leash, it is not because they are in a hurry. It is because they want us to walk faster! So we should listen to our dogs and live to see another dog walk.

May the wind be over your port bow and your suntan oil be thick.
