In honor of Cinco de Mayo this past Thursday, or as some call it “cinco de drink-o”, I decided to give you all the low down on which margaritas you have to try in Boulder! Here’s the short list of my personal favorites.

1.Tahona Tequila Bistro

Tahona Tequila Bistro on Pearl Street is known for it’s wide selection of tequila and mezcal, as well as their perfectly concocted margaritas. Mondays at Tahona mean Happy Hour, from 4pm until close with $4.00 Well margaritas as well as a slew of other great deals. Tahona is not only a restaurant, but also a happening bar on the weekends (as well as any other night of the week if you want it to be). Check out their selection of tequila here.

2. Centro Latin Kitchen

Centro Latin Kitchen is a lively place on Pearl Street, with a great Sunday brunch and occasional live music. Their happy hour feature delicious “coin margs” for $5, along with many other good drinks such as the “after work special.” You can read over their happy hour menu here.

3. The Rio Grande

The Rio Grande is probably one of the most popular locations, especially for college students, in Boulder. It is often referred to as “The Rio” for short, and is located on the corner of Walnut and 11th Street. One of my favorite things about The Rio is the roof top bar, which especially fun during a sunny day in Boulder (but make sure and snag a spot quick! The wait can usually be up to an hour or so). The Rio has amazing original margarita’s, but you can also try them Strawberry, Mango. The Rio also has mini margaritas. Check out their menu here.
