STASHLOGIX is a Logical Solution for Your Stash

July 2nd, 2017

How do you keep all of your herbs, shatter, edibles, and accessories in order?   Are you like me and have a bunch of different containers that you use?  Maybe you use an old cigar box?   Or do you use a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lunchbox from the late 80’s?   If you’re a cannabis connoisseur, I’m sure you have your own way of hiding your stash.   But could it use an upgrade?  I know mine sure can! This is where STASHLOGIX comes into play.  Based in Boulder, STASHLOGIX designs “thoughtful, discreet, and secure” bags and accessories.   While they advertise their bags for... Read More

Calling All Card, Coin, and Stamp Collectors! CollecTons is Boulder’s Premier Hobby Shop

June 27th, 2017

We hear a lot about Boulder’s outdoor scene, but some of Boulder’s most interesting hobbies are happening behind closed doors. Silent, solitary activities that demand boxes over bike trail maps. I’m talking about collecting, where fandom meets nostalgia. Inside Crossroads East Shopping Center (30th Street) lies one of Boulder’s best hobby shops: CollecTons. While the shop’s design is austere, it’s shelves are fully stocked with collecting items and supplies. Collectors will want to know that they sell: Collectable Coins Stamps Trading Cards Comic Books Photo and Archiving Supplies Jewelry Of... Read More

Not So Fresh Baked

June 25th, 2017

Today I bring you another retail dispensary review!   Let me preface my review by saying, I am someone who suffers from extreme anxiety at times, especially when in new and uncomfortable situations.    In fact, my number one reason for using MJ is because of its positive effects on anxiety.   I share this with you so as you read on, you understand that some of my points are solely my experiences and may not reflect the experience others may have.   Anyway, without further ado… Fresh Baked Dispensary is a place that I’ve known about since it opened.   I went with a friend a few years... Read More

Calling all bookworms, book hoarders, and bibliophiles!

June 15th, 2017

I admit: I am an avid bookworm, book hoarder, and bibliophile. I never go anywhere without a book and I must read at least an hour each day to feel slightly normal. I frequently visit Trident Booksellers, a three-story bookstore located in the heart of Pearl Street, and romp through their aisles, enjoying being around people who (hopefully) share my mindset, my heart warm and fuzzy being surrounded by thousands of books just waiting to be read. Trident Booksellers was established in 1979, a place for friends and students to gather together to talk, study, read, and imbibe the myriad of classical... Read More

Tea Time!

June 8th, 2017

I recently visited the Dashunbe Tea House in Boulder, an ornate and pristine Tea House located at the base of the Rocky Mountains and next to Boulder creek. The tea house is filled with authentic Asian sculptures, design, and art work and sells a wide variety of teas for any taste. The place has a substantial history behind it, having first been built in Dashubne, Tajikistan, Boulder’s sister city. It was constructed in Dashunbe in the 1990’s, then dissembled, crated up, and shipped to Boulder, where they rebuilt the building. This was performed as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration,... Read More

Take a Trip Down Magnolia Road

May 21st, 2017

Okay, I admit it, I’ve been a little scatterbrained as of late and haven’t really written a review of a cannabis company for a few weeks.  Well fear not, I’m back with one today!   I came across this dispensary while browsing reviews on Weedmaps (one of my most used apps).   What struck me most about the reviews was not only the overall high stars but the consistent mention of quality, affordability, and great service.   These words came up again and again in the reviews, and sure there were some that didn’t paint a great picture (aren’t there always?) but with generally high praise,... Read More

Walnut Brewery Needs to Be on Every Beer Lover’s Bucket List

May 9th, 2017

Walnut Brewery’s Old Elk Brown Ale tastes like victory. Perhaps it’s because the English-style brown ale wins medals as often as the US Olympic gymnastics team; the beer is a two-time Silver and Gold medalist at the Great American Beer Festival awards. The brew is rich and malty, with notes of caramel and chocolate and subtle hops. The beer is as delicious as it is interesting and needs to be on ever beer snob’s bucket list. Of course, the brewery offers lots of delectable brews worth tasting. Some of my favorites? 1123 IPA  I love a good, strong IPA. This hoppy brew is tropical... Read More

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Super Drone!

May 4th, 2017

Boulder is once again putting its name on the map with a local drone engineering company that has just signed on with NASA. The company, named Black Swift, has just signed a $875,000 contract to monitor temperatures, winds, and gases at volcano sites, the data which will be used to better predict ash and other dangerous emissions that are propelled into the atmosphere. The Black Swift drones have already tested their stuff against fires, floods, and tornadoes, and now they are looking to conquer their next adversary. The Black Swift company was started by Jack Elston and Maciej Stachura, two Aerospace... Read More

The Farm’s Green Pastures

April 16th, 2017

Last week, I introduced you to The Farm.   I was very impressed with their website, and the way that they market themselves in general to Colorado’s cannabis consumers.  As I mentioned at the time, I felt that they did a lot on their site to set themselves apart from the competition.  Their website was clean, well structured, and full of information about them as a company and their products.  Based on what they were presenting, I had high hopes for my first visit, so I went the first chance I had. First things first, The Farm doesn’t look like your typical corner dispensary.   In fact,... Read More
