Gov. Polis Says Schools Will Likely Be Closed the Remainder of Year

Gov. Boulder Parks May Close Due to Social Distancing Measures

Boulder parks are on a close watch from residents and government officials alike as the full Colorado shutdown continues. While parks are currently open, if social distancing measures do not occur outside, officials may be forced to begin shutting down outdoor areas to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Notably, Chautauqua had a full parking lot on Wednesday with residents hoping to enjoy the warm and sunny day. A full park makes it nearly impossible to employ social distancing of at least 6 feet. Colorado Closes All Ski Resorts

Governor Jared Polis has made an executive order that all ski resorts in Colorado will be closed for a minimum of one week due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This comes after many resorts had already announced they would shut down beginning March 15. Vail Resorts, Alterra Mountain Company, Aspen Snowmass, Telluride, Arapahoe Basin, and Loveland all announced closures Saturday.
