This was Jonah’s first time climbing outdoors, catching a glimpse of what the rock’s in Boulder taste like. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Garrett has always had a love for the mountains and the outdoors. Seven years ago, he relocated with his wife, Julie, to Denver and quickly realized that the city life wasn’t for them. After a couple short years in Denver, Garrett and his wife moved to Niwot in Boulder County where they could escape the busy city lifestyle and settle down in the countryside. “I see us staying there for quite some time,” he said. Mason and Allie are brand new to the Boulder area and started off their first official day by hiking the first Flatiron Trail. Allie moved to the area from Philadelphia to prepare for starting her degree at CU Boulder. In the mean time, Mason is planning on working in Denver for a construction company. This couple loves the outdoors, and obviously moved to the right area for their lifestyle. When these two aren’t working or studying, they plan on hiking and rock climbing. This Florida native is loving her new life in Colorado! Meet Stephanie, a junior year economics major at CU Boulder. She moved out here when she started college three years ago and says she has no intention of moving back to the East Coast. “I love the weather here, I love the people I’ve met, I love the mountains, I love everything about where I am,” she said. After college, she intends to move to Denver with her current roommate and start a career there. Sabina visited Boulder for a long weekend, escaping the brutal snow storm on the East Coast. Born in Bosnia, she moved to Hartford, Connecticut, in 2000 with her family. She then moved to Baltimore, Maryland to attend college and decided to stay to start her career. Growing restless, she decided to take a long weekend to see the mountains of Colorado and visit some friends. Immediately, she was blown away by the natural beauty of the area and the amount of places to see and experience. Snow-snow-snow! The best way to dive into winter is getting out and exploring the snowy backcountry of Colorado. Jay spent his Saturday afternoon taking a break from classes, and climbing high in Rocky Mountain National Park. This fulltime student took a break from studying to get out and enjoy the beautiful countryside Colorado has to offer. After hiking a trail in the Flatirons, he decided to go off route and scramble up a fallen tree.
