ab5Fat Tuesday is getting closer, and Centro Latin Kitchen is starting it’s celebrations this Friday, February 5th. This event is going through till Tuesday, February 9th. This event is an all out Brazilian Carnival. They will be honoring the holiday with Brazilian street food, traditional Brazilian music and a DJ.

First Friday has come again, and galleries will be enticing guests with art, music and drinks. Traversing through the art district makes for a beautiful evening. There are many different galleries, café’s, and even wineries, that participate in the monthly event.
Shades of Red: The Sixth Annual NoBo Art District Members Show, goes from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the First Congregational. This art show features work of 70 + artists. There is free admission, refreshments, live music and “special activities”?

Settembre Cellars is having an opening beginning at 6. Admission is free. They will be featuring the art of Darcie Carr. They are also featuring $10 flights of wine and $8 glasses. They share a parking lot with three other venues that are also celebrating the evening, Cha Cha Makes Art What We Love The Winery, and Bookcliff Vineyards

This Saturday, The Avalon Ballroom is having a Mardi Gras Dance Party and Costume Competition! They will be featuring Jojo Reed and the Creole Dance Band. This event will be hosting cajun music, food, and dancing. If you are nervous about having two left feet, the night kicks off with a dance lesson starting at 6:30pm. The costume contest is complete with prizes! Tickets run from $25 pre-sale to $30 at the door.

If you can find tickets, don’t miss GRiZ performing Sunday at the Fox Theater. This sold out show it should make for an amazing night.
