Boulder is one of the most scenic and thriving cities in the world all year round. So whether you’re a local or planning a trip, here are our top 5 things to do in Boulder this summer!

  1. Hike in Eldorado Canyon State Park

Boulder is packed with gorgeous hiking terrain, from quick and easy adventures like Red Rocks Trail at Settlers Park, to the Mesa Trail. One of our top ‘must do’s’ is to hike around Eldorado Canyon. If you need help deciding what trail, Rattlesnake Gulch is the one! It takes you past the ruins of the Crags Hotel followed by views of the Continental Divide! Remember, always tell someone where you are and bring plenty of food and water when hiking in Colorado.

  1. Tube down Boulder Creek

What’s better than a day on the water? When the weather gets warm between May to August, rent a tube and make a day of floating Boulder Creek! Be wary of the water speed, and stay off the water when the creek gets flowing over 300 cfs. Tubing Boulder Creek is such a big part of
summers here, there’s even a ‘Tube to Work Day!’

  1. Visit NCAR

Nestled in the foothills, the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) hosts world class exhibits open every day of the week! Plan a tour and learn about our Weather, Climate, Atmosphere, and so much more!

  1. Tour Micro Breweries (21+)

Boulder, Colorado is quite literally legendary for its beer. You can hardly drive a block without seeing another brewery or brew pub, and you can easily make a day of it! Load up your Uber/Lyft account and check a half dozen of these off in a day! A few of our favorite recommendations: Avery, Sanitas, Asher (for the organic crowd), Twisted Pine, Boulder Beer and Mountain Sun!

  1. Have a picnic and photo shoot in Chautauqua Park

Want your quintessential photo of Boulder? Well Chautauqua is the place for it! With a demonstration garden, hiking trails, playground, and picnic area, Chautauqua has something for everyone. Have a laid back day under the flatirons and don’t forget to bring your camera!
