The Glorious Spectacle of Mt. Sanitas

April 30th, 2023

Mt. Sanitas has always been one of my favorite hiking areas. I grew up near the Goat Trail, which is an alternative path that some people use to access Sanitas, but I decided to use the more widely-used trailhead on Mapleton Avenue when I went to visit last week. Sanitas is a gorgeous mountain. It’s the crème de la crème. It has sprawling grassy fields and jagged mountain peaks- all in one place! He walked into his bosses office and said, “I’m outta here, I’m moving to Colorado!” His boss was supportive and asked him if he would work remotely. John agreed and came to Colorado, not sure where he was going to end up. He lived in Englewood, Denver, and NorthGlen, but kept finding himself in Boulder, going to see CU... Read More

Much Ado About A Patio: Sanitas Brewing Co.

Sanitas Brewing Co Boulder

I am a sucker for springtime in Colorado. Aside from the random and inevitable snow that will blanket the Flatirons every once in awhile, springtime in Boulder is simply majestic. People will emerge from their Netflix and delivery pizza hibernation, flip on a pair of Ray-Bans, don a stylized tank top, and will then explore the great eateries (and drinkeries!) that this city has to offer. The Pearl Street Mall, in all its glory, becomes once again a destination for Coloradans from all over, eager to take in the joviality of buskers, ice cream, and sunshine. Now, head a few minutes east of the Mall... Read More
