The weekend approaches holding promise for those looking for possibilities. The Festival of Lights reaches its fourth night as candles in menorahs are lit. Strings of lights decorate the branches and rooftops of Boulder, and the holiday season continues its embrace.

Tonight at the Fox Theater, check out Gravity A’s Talking Heads Tribute. Greener Grounds and Kinetik Groove will be opening for this loving tribute to the uniquely brilliant and iconic Talking Heads. Door open at 8:30pm and the show starts at 9:00 pm.

If you want something more low key for the evening, the West End Tavern is having their weekly happy hour from 9pm- Close. They have specials on food and drinks Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
If you are able to find tickets, head to eTown Hall on 1535 Spruce Street tomorrow night (Dec. 11). From 7:00pm-9:00pm, the eTown Broadcast will be recorded live as the audience watches live performances and interviews with visiting artists. This week features Noah Gunderson promoting his deeply personal and thoughtful new album, Carry the Ghost.

The Haunted Windchimes will be performing, December 11 at Chautauqua Community House. Their sound is the lingering melody their name promises. The four piece group draws from the past, in a sound rooted in Americana. They will be playing is a setting rife with history. The historic landmark built in 1918, seems like the perfect setting for this band from Pueblo, Colorado. Their shows are always a delight.

On Saturday, December 12th, Niykee Heaton is playing an all ages show at the Fox Theater with special guests. Doors open at 8:30pm with the show starting at 9:00 pm. It’s $15 for general admission but $2 more for those under 21.

What could be better on a Sunday then laughs and beer? The Boulder Comedy at the Show Bohemian Biergarten this December 13th will feature the comedic stylings of Ben Kronberg and Shane Mauss.
