CBD Water–Fad or Fitness?
CBD has quickly become more mainstream, and with good reason. There are several positive research studies indicating CBD’s medicinal benefits for numerous health conditions. It has already been proven to work as a powerful anti-inflammatory medication without the harmful side of effects of common anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen. This is one reason several athletes are advocating for its use to help with injuries and even day to day inflammation from training or competition. With CBD spreading so fast across news headlines, several companies have capitalized on the craze and are offering CBD infused products, even including water.
Although CBD itself has been studied, little research has been conducted in regards to the efficacy of CBD infused water. Despite this lack of research, companies are still making several health claims when it comes to their CBD water products. There was even an article released recently in Forbes titled, “Why CBD Water Is Not Really A Thing And May Even Be Dangerous.” The article discusses many concerns about CBD infused water and ends on a note of caution by stating, “Take CBD water companies’ beneficial claims with a grain of salt, because that is about how much CBD their bottles contain.” All of this information, or rather lack of information, about CBD water is indicative of a need for more scientific studies and consumer testing on the topic. In the meantime, here are 5 CBD waters you can try and test for yourself.
