Epilepsy Awareness Month

November 3rd, 2018

As many of you know, I have epilepsy.  Last month I celebrated being 18 months seizure free! I started having grand mal seizures when I was a teenager. I had several tests, but the doctors could not find out what was causing them. The medical professionals told me I could have multiple seizures every day for the rest of my life or never have another one again and there was no way to tell what my future held. This is one of the reasons I try to live each day to the fullest and not let my condition stop me from doing things I want to do in life.  Knowing that I am one of 65 million people affected... Read More

Guests were invited to try the CBD infused coffee before the tour began. Once we were all accounted for, we got on the tour bus, which was stocked with grinders, papers and everything needed to smoke some herb! The tour guide also made sure everyone knew the waters were complimentary and he encouraged everyone to drink as much as possible because everyone was from lower elevation out of state. It was very interesting to see where everyone... Read More

Vertical farming may be an attractive alternative to traditional methods of food production because it is a more efficient use of land, and can also extend the potential growing season. Additional benefits... Read More

Businesses are frequently forced to make the difficult choice between practicing environmentally friendly behavior and the pursuit of profit; conflict between being sustainable and being profitable means that one of the two will often be ignored. However, recently, it seems that businesses’ interests in profit and planet are becoming more compatible and less of a trade-off. December 14th, 2014

Most of the ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains have environmental protection policies because the mountains they are built upon are considered National Parks. These ski resorts are required to include a certain level of eco-friendliness, commitment to environmental stewardship, and commitment to environmental restoration. Resorts are often a part of the community they are in, especially in a ski town.  Resorts offer many jobs and include shops, restaurants and residences.  Because the resorts are at the heart of the local economies in these ski towns, when a ski resort uses less energy from... Read More
