Avid4 Adventure: Building a Lifelong Love of Outdoor Adventure in Boulder’s Kids

July 12th, 2017

Even in an active community like Boulder, children aren’t immune to the sedentary lifestyle that accompanies the tech revolution. Luckily, Boulder is rife with summer and school programs to compete with Angry Birds and PAW Patrol. Perhaps the most active and socially conscious program is Advid4 Adventure. Faces of Boulder – Pic of the Day!

February 12th, 2016

I dare you to try and keep up with this energetic 11 year old! Meet Logan! On an unseasonably warm winter day, Logan and his friends were hanging out at the skate park doing one of his favorite things…scootering! He switches between a trick scooter and BMX bike practicing jumps and moves until each one is mastered to perfection. He lives in Lafayette with his parents and has two older brothers and an older sister... Read More

Faces of Boulder – Pic of the Day!

January 23rd, 2016

Meet Ella, Paul and Clara! On the most amazing sunny Colorado day, I met Paul as he pushed two of his four kids on the swings at one of Boulder County’s beautiful parks. Paul and his wife moved from Oregon 18 years ago after college and have since made a home and are raising their family in Lafayette where they homeschool their children ages six, seven, ten and thirteen. They love the community here and enjoy visiting the museums, hiking and sledding together as a family. Paul works... Read More

Children are freakin’ adorable (especially if they aren’t yours). A child with a toy ups the cuteness factor 200%. Child with a toy that is donating that toy, I think my heart is literally melting into a sappy love puddle. Sound too good to be true? Wildflower Pre-School has made that vision of glory a reality. To get to the bottom of all this cuteness, I spoke with Amy Harmon, the Owner and Director... Read More
