“Skating in general is an individual activity so people might think that there isn’t much of a culture or community, but we do come together. I remember when friend of mine was going through his final stages of ALS. To keep him out of a nursing home, some of the Boulder skating community came together to help fund the medical care so that he could live out his final days in the comfort of this own home. Meet Dylan. He’s been skating in Boulder Skate Park since he was little. He knows every stall, crack and transition like the back of his hand. “I don’t come out here as much as I used too, but we try and get out here when we can. Maybe hit up Arvada once in a while.” Dylan, is just one of the few people here actually on a skateboard. Meet Sage! Sage just finished his freshman year at Boulder High and is looking forward to his second year in high school!  Enjoying his summer break, he spent some time today at Scott Carpenter park practicing skateboarding and meeting new friends.  Many of the guys at the skatepark were practicing tricks on bikes and skateboards and even a scooter!  Read More
