August in Boulder

August 12th, 2016

August in Boulder means hot summer temperatures, students coming back to school, and summer events beginning to wind down. In order to make the most of these last few weeks of August, here are a couple things to keep in mind: School is starting up again. All month, the Hill has been a hotbed of college students moving out of their old places and into their new ones. Mattresses and couches and toaster ovens are left on the side of the roads like some kind of post-apocalyptic disaster has struck. Classes start up again at CU Boulder on Monday, August 22nd, so be warned. The week of August 22nd will... Read More

Here are a few of the sunniest. Tube to Work Day Was June’s bike to work day too mundane for you? Do you relish the idea of commute by water? Don your worst suit, grab your tube, and join the... Read More

Goodbye Summer

September 23rd, 2015

Despite the fun seasonal events and vacation travel opportunities, I’m still a Summer-hater. Dealing with excessive sunshine and heat, plus the inability to wear layers, is incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable for me. So I’m super excited that it is officially the first day of Fall—my favorite season—and that the weather is finally beginning to cool. But before I dig out my warm coats, cozy beanies, and knitted scarfs from the depths of my closet, I’d like to give a final farewell to the iced/cold drink season by saluting a couple of my favorite Summertime brews and caffeine-fix stops... Read More
