There isn’t a place Natalie doesn’t go without her dog, Bruno. This past weekend, Natalie and Bruno explored the back country of Nederland and enjoyed the warming weather. “Almost every weekend, we spend our days hiking together. He goes everywhere with me,” said Natalie. Just like her, Bruno was decked out in his own personal hiking gear – jacket, water bottle, snacks, and toys. Natalie is a teacher from Longmont and is a dog trainer on the side. Snow storms don’t stop this avid runner. Meet Carrie, a trail runner from Knoxville, Tennessee. Carrie moved to the Boulder area two years ago, after living in Denver for two years. She leads a very active lifestyle; she loves climbing, hiking, and biking, but her favorite activity is trail running. The Grand Re-Opening of the Royal Arch Trail

Over a year ago, the floods damaged many of the hiking trails in the Chautauqua area. Many of these trails were repaired fairly quickly, but one took longer than others. The Royal Arch trail was devastated by the floods, and it was quite difficult to put it all back together. You may even recognize a few new routes that had to navigate around the flood’s more serious damages.
