The winter season is around the corner and CU students are preparing for skiing, Fall break and of course, snow. This is what we CU students do when the snow falls:

1) Procrastinate. Snow means cold weather, and cold weather means movie nights. It seems that many students use the falling snow as a perfect excuse to cuddle up with a hot tottie, their roommates and a few scary films.

2) Ditch. Can we really call it “ditching”, though? Skipping class is one thing if you’re ditching because of a nasty hangover, but skipping class to ski? That’s a whole other story. Living in Colorado is an absolutely blessing as we have countless mountains, a few of which have been rated the best in the world. It’s hard not to pass up a class or two for a day fresh powder day at Vail.

3) Spend Money. Online shopping is a direct result of the snow. Not only do most students not want to go out in the cold when it’s not entirely necessary, some don’t have cars and must say goodbye to their bikes for the rest of the year, resulting in no direct transportation. Also, once the snow begins to pile up, we realize how necessary snow boots, snow hats, gloves, scarves, high socks, etc. are. Hence, online shopping.
