Hello and welcome to the second writing of the Insider Weekly Events Column! My name is Savannah Kruger and I want to introduce you to the hidden magic of Boulder. My intention for this column is to help you easily and joyously connect with the Boulder Community. Whether you’ve lived in Boulder your entire life or you’ve just arrived, I hope to invite you to compelling gatherings that will help you have incredible experiences and build incredible relationships. This column won’t be focusing on the typical goings-on, but rather the smaller, more intimate, important events that people in town are putting on to share their light with others. I hope to see you at some of these gatherings and become your friend! So, let’s get down to it!

VEHICLE: Answering Earth’s Call

Boulder Shambhala Center, 1345 Spruce St. Boulder

7:30pm-10pm

More Information

I’m really excited for this event! Comprised of world-renowned musicians Michael Fitzpatrick and Rami Yadid, VEHICLE was to have performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama during His now postponed visit to Boulder. VEHICLE will now perform a special Benefit Concert at Boulder Shambhala Center on Wednesday. They intend to channel the Earth’s message into music and induce feelings of compassion to inspire action in all who attend. Friends have called their music molecularly altering. I HIGHLY recommend you attend this event. I’ll be there likely crying my eyes out and levitating.

Rent Or Own? Event

Clubhouse at 4920 Thunderbird Circle Boulder

6:30-8:30pm

$5 per person for supplies

Are you interested in ever owning your own home? The good people at Keller Williams are holding a workshop that they say will teach you how to escape debt, save money, protect your family financially, qualify for a mortgage, and find a home that meets your dreams and your budget. We help people find simple strategies to own their future. Sound’s like a lot! We shall see! A financial advisor, real estate agent, and mortgage broker will walk us through some basic concepts to be financial secure and learn if, when, and how you can own the home you desire. I’m interested in buying a home in Boulder in the next few years so I’ll be there learning too!

Totem Post 6 Course Dinner

The Secret Garden – 4715 Broadway, Boulder

6pm

$40 per person

My dear friend, Beija Flor, hosts these incredibly inventive, decadent, inspiring dinners at the Secret Garden in north Boulder. He concocts 6 courses that have a touch of the familiar, a pinch of wilderness, and a heaping handful of deliciousness! The meal is always vegan, though meat-eater approved and the ingredients are mostly organic and locally sourced. Some ingredients are grown at the Secret Garden! You can expect a random band to play and to sit amongst quirky, interesting, and joyous folks, too.

Enjoy, everybody! Have an incredible week! I hope to see you beautiful people at some of these events and around town!

love,

Savannah Kruger
