Bears have already been spotted in 8 Colorado counties this year, including Boulder and Morrison, where bears have been getting into trash, Snowmass Village, where a bear broke into a vehicle, Delta, where bears have been attacking livestock, and Colorado Springs, where a bear went head to head with a dog. The City of Boulder has issued a warning to residents warning them to be aware of potential danger, especially as the bear population has become more prevalent in Boulder, especially east of Broadway. Recently, a lot of people have noticed black bears investigating the dumpsters behind their homes. Black bears are on the search for more food before they go into hibernation, and they have been making a wealth of recent appearances in Boulder.
