Originally from Portland, Oregon, Garrett has always had a love for the mountains and the outdoors. Seven years ago, he relocated with his wife, Julie, to Denver and quickly realized that the city life wasn’t for them. After a couple short years in Denver, Garrett and his wife moved to Niwot in Boulder County where they could escape the busy city lifestyle and settle down in the countryside. “I see us staying there for quite some time,” he said. Colder weather and a little bit of snow doesn’t stop Jennifer from an afternoon of hiking. Sugarloaf Mountain is one of Jennifer’s personal favorite local hikes. “It’s super close to Boulder, where I live, and offers amazing views of the Rockies. Meet Deb! Deb was visiting from Austin, Texas to help her step daughter move into her new apartment! Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she is currently a student at Colorado College.  Alina enjoys hiking and recently attempted to hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.  Unfortunately she developed bone contusions in her knee about half way through the 5-6 month adventure while she was back in Pennsylvania. Normally, when you’re celebrating someone’s hundredth birthday, you’re not talking about climbing mountains. The hundredth birthday Rocky Mountain National Park, however, is a little different than most birthdays. Back in 1915, on January 26th, Woodrow Wilson signed Rocky Mountain National park into law. People were visiting the gorgeous Rocky Mountains far before 1915, but that’s the date when Wilson made things official.  Rocky Mountain National park is huge.
