Kay is originally from Milan, Italy and moved to the Boulder in 2006. Before coming to Boulder, she lived in Pennsylvania, California, St. Louis and many other places. She was adopted, which was what prompted her move to the U.S., but, “if I wasn’t adopted I would want to come to America to experience the different cultures and people. It’s a place people come to thrive and succeed and that would be why I would want to come here.” She occasionally goes back to Italy because a lot of her family still resides there. She says Pearl Street is lit and believes that the people of Boulder and Colorado citizens in general are what make it so great. Although she loves Boulder, San Clemente was her favorite place to live because she loves the surf life. Kay works for the private security of Boulder. She used to have a criminal record, but turned her life around and  “wants to do something to help the community.”

Raised in Colorado, Boulder has always been a special place to Kailey. From hiking in the mountains to exploring Pearl Street, Kailey has always loved the energy and uniqueness of the people and city of Boulder. Kailey attends St. John's University in New York, where she is pursuing a marketing degree, along with a minor in photojournalism. She writes editorials and features for the Torch Newspaper and is excited to add photography into her journalism. After experiencing the beauties of the world during her semester in Europe, Kailey aspires to capture the splendor of Colorado as she explores new places and meets new people.
