Faces of Boulder – Martin

Martin is a motivational speaker for the organization Save the Children, and also works with Art from Ashes. He writes and performs poetry for Art from Ashes, which specializes in empowering the youth. Martin says, “I wanted to give back, and I believe one of the best causes is for children because they’re shaping the future.” Martin doesn’t quit there, he also is working on writing a book and an album! He paints and takes photos – and of course, snowboards. Martin visited Colorado in July of last year for two weeks, fell in love, and decided to move here in September from D.C. He feels extremely blessed for the opportunity to be in Colorado, “I fell in love with the people; they are so genuine and caring, it’s what made me come back.” Check out some of Martin’s work on his Instagram: @captainprojection.

She writes editorials and features for the Torch Newspaper and is excited to add photography into her journalism. After experiencing the beauties of the world during her semester in Europe, Kailey aspires to capture the splendor of Colorado as she explores new places and meets new people.
