What if you could powerfully transform your life by hanging out with friends in paradise? That’s the latest focus of Rachel Zelaya, founder and director of the Adi Shakti Kundalini Yoga Center of Boulder.

What is Kundalini?
Kundalini-YogaKundalini describes the creative, life-force energy powered by the kindalanibreath and flowing
throughout the body. It can be activated by conscious practices designed to maximize your life force.

The Kundalini Yoga tradition is one of the most holistic approaches to yoga: it includes asana, mudra, breathwork, meditation and mantra, as well as encompassing lifestyle choices that impact you far beyond the mat– such as diet, sleep, healing, clothing, and music.

Rachel is passionate about sharing the power of Kundalini Yoga to support people who are struggling with stress, dis-ease, addiction and other life challenges. Kundalini practices were a catalyst in changing her life, supporting her to overcome addictions, make major changes in her life, and discover her calling.
rachelSince experiencing profound transformations through her Kundalini practice, Rachel has dedicated her life to passing on this powerful wisdom. The focus of her work is on empowering others to overcome challenges and improve their lives within a supportive community rooted in this powerful holistic lineage.

Knowing first-hand the stresses of being a woman, mother and leader in today’s world, another part of Rachel’s focus is offering classes and retreats exclusively for women. These gender-focused programs build close-knit community and help women support and empower each other to overcome the unique challenges women face, all in a safe, feminine-focused space.

Women meet weekly at Adi Shakti for a 12-1:15 class on Thursdays, as well as 12038615_10153234935728753_7883856265322342365_o (1)through weekend or weeklong retreats. This February 9-16, Rachel is offering an intimate women’s retreat on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. The retreat will incorporate transformational practices including daily yoga and meditation, sound healing, personal growth and community building exercises, cooking meals together, relaxing by the pool, and visiting beaches and beautiful natural locations on the island.

Rachel chose to host the retreat at a private residence-like center to keep prices affordable and to create a more intimate space that will only include a small group of retreat participants all going through the same process together. There are currently a few spaces available to join with other conscious women who will be co-creating this powerful transformational retreat.

While Rachel has a special focus on women, she also offers many co-ed programs, as well as workshops and retreats for couples.Visit the Center’s website to see offerings and access free video classes online.
