The holiday is upon us and greets us all differently. Some choose to spend the holiday with family, some choose friends, some people choose the comfort of a bar or avoiding it all together. Hopefully the weekend meets us with full bellies, warm hearths, and perhaps a longing for a bit of adventure. The pumpkin spice from the pie gives way to the desire to the frothy pumpkin spice of beer as you slink away with perhaps cousins or relatives to continue the revelry. There are several tempting troves of enjoyment.
Tonight, like clockwork, Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place will be hosting their weekly Sunset Series with DJ Royal Swan and Friends for free after 10 PM. Saturday they will also be hosting their free Radiate Unified Dance Party.
Also tonight the West End Tavern will also be hosting their weekly Bluegrass, BBQ and Bourbon if the hunger pangs start again.
Friday, Nov 27, from 9 pm – 12 am Funk DMT will bring their jazzy funk styling to License Number 1, Boulder’s first restaurant to be issued a legal liquor license that is still valid today. Go get down in the beautiful historic building. “Bottoms Up”.
Leftover Salmon is performing Friday and Saturday at the Boulder Theater to promote their new album released this Friday the 27th. The band formed in Boulder at the end of 1989 and is celebrating 25 years together. The live album“25” will be released exclusively with Breckenridge Brewery’s special edition 22-ounce bombers of Silver Salmon Indie Pale Lager.. $32 doors at 730
If something in a smaller venue with some great music sounds more appealing, Saturday the 28th, you can head over to the Lazy Dog to check out Chando, Space Race, Ty Beat. The show starts at 10 pm and there is free admission. Chando plays delightfully playful, experimental electronic music.
