The long and temperate fall has passed as winter continues to touch crystalline moisture to the earth, making it feel more and more like the weather this month promises. Festivities of the season continue to stretch across Boulder this weekend, enticing Boulderites to venture into the night.
If this evening finds you wanting, tonight two talented solo musicians are playing at the Laughing Goat on 1709 Pearl St. Riley Ann and Rachel Ann’s performance will run from 8 pm – 11pm. These two solo artists pair up in an evening of sirens, each musicians talented in multiple instruments.
Also tonight at the Fox Theater, and tomorrow the Golden Hill Inn, performing their take on the genre of jamgrass, The Sweet Lillies will be playing their tour through Colorado. The four person group has a melodically wonderful marriage of their upbeat and heavy songs alike. It should make for an entertaining show.
Members of the community and all walks of life join together Saturday for the traditional Lights of December Parade at 6 pm. There will be a menagerie of lighted spectacle where local businesses, churches, and civic groups entertain from their floats. This promises to be a perfect event for enjoying the holiday spirit. Santa himself wouldn’t miss it.
Intergalactic Radio plays at The Dark Horse Bar and Grill, 9:00 pm Saturday Dec 5th. A Boulder native band that classifies their music as Rocktronic-Tripfunk, they take to the stage of the Boulder landmark bar still prospering since 1975. There is no cover at the door and they have Avery on tap for $4 a pint.
Cold River City W/ Lula Granji & 10th Mountain Division will be playing at the Fox Theater on Saturday at 9:00 pm. Tickets run from $12 – $14. Cold River City s a mix of rock, blues and soul. This six piece band brings a sound popular to the mountain and beach folk alike.
