Faces of Boulder – Pic of the Day!
“When [floatation tanks] first came about, they were associated with stoners and drug users but that is a stigma we as a floatation community are trying to shed. The reality is much more relaxing than intimidating.
When I first began floating, I realized that I have been going about relaxing in the wrong way. [Floating] allowed me to let go of anxieties and emotions that I cling to. It’s really an exploration of what your consciousness is capable of. [In a floatation tank] you self reflect, you analyze your own thoughts, you contemplate your life.“
Corbin works at Cloud nine Float Center in Boulder. He began utilizing floatation tanks about 3 years ago and has been hooked ever since.
