Faces of Boulder: Campus Life

October 14th, 2014

The University of Colorado Boulder was originally founded in 1876, five months before Colorado officially became a U.S. state, and now in 2014 the university boasts over 30,000 faces that have come to Boulder from all over the world. The AboutBoulder photography team, including Joe Wirth and Travis Bildahl, explored the best spots across CU-Boulder for only just a handful of days and met some of the people that help make Boulder the number one American college town.                                                                   That... Read More

Faces of Boulder: Dogs of Boulder

October 6th, 2014

Boulder is full of animal lovers with roughly one-third of all households in the entire city owning at least one dog. Although Boulder has created several dog laws including a law that doesn’t allow animals on Pearl Street, it’s safe to say that Boulder is one of the most dog-friendly places in all of Colorado. If you just walk around town and notice how many happy dogs are running around everywhere you’ll see that Boulder’s dogs are friendly and have great personalities. This is exactly what the Faces of Boulder photography team did for a number of days, dog photography,... Read More

Faces of Boulder: Shankar Moghe

September 28th, 2014

Since the beginning of The Faces of Boulder Project the AboutBoulder photography team has primarily focused our attention on multiple people for every online post, but this edition of the Faces of Boulder will be different because it’s all about one very special person who lives here in Boulder, Shankar Moghe.   Travis Bildahl and I ran into Shankar at the Eben G. Fine Park on a nice afternoon and realized right away that we had encountered a very unique individual that was self-actualized. What we didn’t realize was that we had met a man that gives free yoga lessons in... Read More

Faces of Boulder: GO BUFFS Edition

September 21st, 2014

For this edition of The Faces of Boulder we captured the essence of a CU-Boulder football game day. From frat parties, to families, to Folsom Field, the AboutBoulder team came together to create this special edition that shows CU team pride and a whole lot of Saturday fun. The Buffs beat the University of Hawaii 21-12 on Saturday and their winning energy that was shown on the field could be felt all around the entire city. So enjoy the pictures, keep thinking about how you want to get involved with this project and above all, GO BUFFS!                                              Read More

Faces of Boulder: EARTH MAN and The Boulder Creek

September 18th, 2014

Everyone who lives or has visited Boulder knows that street performers populate the Pearl Street Mall on a daily basis putting on shows for Boulderite audiences and those who are passing by, but there is one real-life super hero street performer in Boulder who advocates for environmental awareness and enlightens those who pass by him that we are always all together on the same team no matter where we come from. That team is Team Earth and that super hero is none other than the famous face of Boulder: EARTH MAN! This AboutBoulder post features several images and information about EARTH MAN and others... Read More

Welcome to the Faces of Boulder!

September 16th, 2014

HELLO BOULDER, COLORADO! My name is Joseph Wirth and I am very proud to be one of the newest additions to the AboutBoulder.com photography team, and I also have an opportunity for all of you too. My intentions while working with AboutBoulder can be summed up in one word: collaboration. Essentially what I’ll be doing is shooting events around town and helping out some of our other bloggers with their articles, but I’ll also be a blogger for another project called The Faces of Boulder. With this project I’ll be going around the entire city and hiking trails shooting... Read More
