The Rayback Community

August 18th, 2017

Ask me one of my go-to spots to grab a beer in Boulder – I’d say the Rayback Collective every time, and not just because of Mountain Monday’s (All Upslopes=$4). Not only does it have 30 taps, but you are flooded with good vibes the second you enter the park. Known as Boulder’s Backyard, the Rayback is an old warehouse converted into a bar, which opens up into a food truck park. The park is a quick bike ride for North Boulderites, just off the Goose Creek bike path. The food trucks are on a rotating schedule, but they keep you updated @therayback. Sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it? Well,... Read More

Aquarius: An Artisan Ale

August 11th, 2017

While perusing the aisles at Hazel’s Beverage World, I stumbled upon a local brewer that I had yet to try – Cellar West Artisan Ales. Their unique funky packaging popped, immediately catching my eye. Out of all their wonderful brews, it was the Aquarius, a recent addition to the Cellar West family, that peaked my interest. 24 Years of Avery!

August 4th, 2017

Looking for something local to do this Saturday? Celebrate the Avery Brewing Company’s 24th anniversary with some good tunes and plenty of beers. Avery Brewing has been around since it was established in 1993 by Adam Avery and his father, Larry. Their beers have pleased the mouths of locals for years, but now they have spread beyond Boulder. Just when I was living in Boston, I was introduced to what is now my go-to beer, Avery’s White Rascal. They’ve even crossed U.S. borders, selling their Boulder brews in Sweden and Japan! Clearly, there’s a lot to celebrate, so why not... Read More

Grab a Beer for Game of Thrones

July 28th, 2017

Love watching Game of Thrones, but feel a little parched after routing for your favorite house all episode? Well, fear not, Hazel’s Beverage World has you covered! Hazel’s employee, Liz Ali, came up with the brilliant idea to pair each major house of GOT with a beer that compliments the qualities of each family name. Paying close attention to detail, Liz chose beers that perfectly reflect each GOT family sigil. For example, she pairs House Targaryen (sign of the Dragon) with Dragon’s Milk stout. A creatively awesome idea, much appreciated by Game of Thrones fans! Without further... Read More
